About Us
We're challenging peers, mentors, and mentees to team up, get a journal, and dive into the pursuit of godly leadership at home, and in the marketplace.
I started "The Honors Course" to help me navigate the increasing complexity and competing agendas of my personal and professional responsibilities.
As a husband, father, and CEO of a fast growing technology company, I had numerous of opportunities to manage.
Over the years, I had done a lot of "self-discovery" in my pursuit of better leadership at work.
I knew I was a Type 8 "Challenger" on the Enneagram, "Campaigner" on the Myers Briggs, "Developer" on the DISC, "Daredevil" on the Culture Index, and a "Strategic, Futuristic, Competitor" on the Strengths Finders.
And while I was leveraging these insights at work, I wasn’t paying attention to how much strengths and weaknesses were affecting my family at home. In fact, the feedback I received at home was pretty straight forward - too often, I was a distracted, distant, and mentally absent.
To my surprise, the growth mindset that I'd spent years developing at work, was hurting my family at home. Somehow, I had everything backwards.
My aha moment came when I realized that I needed to prioritize my personal life over my work life. With this new mindset, I started to discover who God created me to in all areas of life, and my vision and targets for the future gained a lot of clarity. set of priorities, I became a more mature, thoughtful, efficient, and motivated leader at work.
I’ve been in a C12 peer mentoring group for over a decade where we like to say, “priorities are what we do, everything else is just talk.”
